Sorry to hear about your "troubles," sure does make one fry when that stuff happens. I think Hogryder is right, jealousy abounds in your garage !
I agree, the plug-changeout is a pain, and having to take the petcock off to remove the tank is just plain BS, especially from Japan. I do think, though, that compared to some bikes, the ole' Savage is much easier for the rough stuff repairs like top end work and such. I remember the old days of Honda 450's and Bultacos the nightmare of time and tools needed to fix one of them.
So far, I haven't done anything to my machine, but know when I do it'll be somewhat easier. Maybe??? I hope???
Have fun with your new battery, and give your Savage a milkbone and a scratch on the belly and maybe it'll forgive you for the KZ1 ha ha....
